About Phos
Phos is a ketamine clinic in Westwood built around a small, dedicated care team. We take the time to know you — where you've been, where you're going, and what you need to get there
Dr. Christa Riley, MD
Christa is a board-certified anesthesiologist and the medical director of Phos. Her work in operating rooms and on active military service in Afghanistan shaped how she runs this clinic — patient-by-patient judgment, careful dosing, full evaluation before and after every infusion. She bought the practice because she wanted a ketamine clinic that took both medical excellence and whole-patient wellness seriously. Her standards guide every patient interaction across the team.
The team you'll see each visit
Physician Assistant, PA-C
Katie Besanko
Katie is the PA you will spend the most time with at Phos. She sits with every patient before their infusion to set goals and intentions. Katie trained as a registered nurse before earning her Master's degree from the Keck School of Medicine at USC as a Physician Assistant. Her early years in labor and delivery, supporting patients through some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives — shaped how she practices today, with a deep awareness of how physical, emotional, and psychological experiences are woven together. She approaches ketamine therapy with a trauma-informed perspective, emphasizing preparation, safety, and helping patients translate the insights from their sessions into lasting, practical change
Registered Nurse, RN
Vera
Vera is our clinical nurse. She is focused on making sure you feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. She brings seven years of ketamine therapy experience, with a deep focus on preparation, psychological support, and creating a calm environment for every session. She is also highly skilled in IV placement, helping treatments begin smoothly and with minimal discomfort. She was a physician trained at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade, Serbia, then came to the United States 40 years ago and went on to earn diplomas in Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound and Diagnostic Cardiosonography. Her clinical background spans anatomy, pathology, medical imaging, emergency procedures, and patient care — bringing a breadth of knowledge to everything she does at Phos. For refill requests, Vera's email is now Nurse@phos.LA

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy
With Karly Salcido, LMFT
For patients who want adjunctive psychotherapy alongside their infusion protocol, Phos partners with Karly Salcido. Her work is structured around the neuroplastic window that follows ketamine, a 48 hour critical window period when the brain is more receptive to new patterns. Pre-infusion sessions clarify symptom targets and prepare the nervous system. Post-infusion integration metabolises the experience and translates insight into lasting change. Karly sees patients independently and prices her sessions separately.
